Sebastien Malo is a reporter based in Berkeley, California.

He has served as an environmental legal correspondent at Reuters and a climate correspondent for the Thomson Reuters Foundation. His past work also includes reporting for Lebanon’s The Daily Star and the investigative outlet The New York World. His reporting has also appeared in The Guardian, The Atlantic, POLITICO Magazine, TIME, and other publications.

Sebastien has covered climate change from the corridors of the United Nations to the farmlands of Niger and the courtrooms of the United States. He has also led climate reporting workshops in Niger, Mali, and Ethiopia.

He holds a master’s degree in international affairs from the Graduate Institute in Geneva and a master’s degree in journalism, with honors, from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism.
